Abrasive Wheels - Banner Of Hope 7"(1983)
Always had a soft spot for "Law Of The Jungle"... could have featured on the Blood On The Cats compilations... Side A: Banner Of Hope Side B: The Law Of The JungleBANNER OF HOPE 7"
Demented Are Go - Holy Hack Jack 12"(1986)
From Wales... these (P)sickos are still decaying (that means alive in the zombies' tongue!) & kicking.... Side One: Holy Hack Jack Side Two: Rubber Buccaneer + Don't Go In The WoodsHoly Hack Jack 12"
Purple Things - Kingsnake 12"(1987)
With this 12 " the Purple Things clearly took a more Noisy/Experimental orientation... something they'll develop further as Terminal Cheesecake. I must confess that I never gave this record a proper listen before ripping it....... Side A: Kingsnake Side B: It's Too Late, Peter Gunn Got Hit By A TrainKINGSNAKE 12"
Play Dead - The First Flower 12" (1983)
I intended to post Play Dead's 7" "Break" but it jumps, stubbornly.... try to tell and explain an old little vinyl that it's very naughty to jump like that... it's useless...so instead I thought I'd post this 6 track LP.... and now I may play dead myself for a while... Side A: Time, The Tenant, Propaganda Side B: Sin Of Sins, In Silence, Don't Leave Without MeTHE FIRST FLOWER 12"
1919 Cry Wolf 12" (1983)
Always had a soft spot for this Killing Jokesque release... it's a bit scratchy but.... (Check out the archives as John posted their single "Caged" in August 2008....)CRY WOLF 12"
The Wigs - The End Of The Obvious 12" (1985)
I haven't much to say really about this release. Good (that's debatable obviously!), original stuff mixing Punk, New Wave, Garage...the voice gives it all a true character... with Sting-Rays' original bass player in the line-up (I think!)... you can hear some double-bass on "The Dead"... they released another 12" on Media Burn "Six O' Clock Shuffle"... haven't got this one so if someone... well... you know.... well.... 01. 13 Lines 02. If Tomorrow Will Die 03. The Dead 04. Halloween 05. Up In The WorldTHE END OF THE OBVIOUS 12"
The Cannibals vs. Surfadelics (Run Chicken Run Vol.1) LP (1987)
Split Lp with the great and sadly very underrated Cannibals (THE Kings Of Trash) and the lesser known Surfadelics. A release full of Garage/Punk and weird Psychedelic goodies! Produced by Mike Spenser (leader of the Cannibals' tribe) and Dave Goodman (yeah that Dave Goodman!) Cannibals Side: I've Gone, I'm On My Own, Magical Carpet Ride, Twilight Zone, I Don't Wanna Change Surfadelics Side: Don't Be Sorry, Abstract Eyes, The Trogg, I Didn't Know, Surfadelic Affair, Wild ThingCANNIBALS vs. SURFADELICS LP
