Use - And Then? E.P.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Another one of those records in my collection, I know next to nothing about. Other than it was recorded 19 years ago today (thanks to the sleeve) and was released on Shakin' Street records. Who released some cool stuff over here (my pressing of the first Queers L.P. is on this label). Sounds like a cross between the Folk Devils & The Stingrays, but rawer. Anyone know anything drop us a comment.

Thatcher On Acid - Flannel 905 E.P.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Never really got the aclaim they rightly deserved this lot. Limited edition from 1990 on Rugger Bugger (mine is 464/500) The A side has an early Manics feel to it, while Side B sounds like something Glas Vegas would curently put out. Cracking piece of vinyl.
Search out some of their other releases. Worth the effort.

The Cult Maniax - Full Of Spunk EP

Not the Cult Maniax release I intented to post... in fact I already posted this EP on "Sounds Fair" a while back. One of the latest posts. As some of you have probably missed it first time around...
As for the stuff I planned to post in the first place... bear with me!

The Vibes - The Inner Wardrobes Of Your Mind 12"

Considered by many as Vibes' masterpiece (still have a soft spot for their first EP though... check out the archives). Their cover version of 60's Punk classic "I"m In Pittsburgh And It's Raining" was featuring on John Peel's 1985 Festive Fifty. There is a Peel session dating from that year too.
Fantabulous stuff!

Side A: I Hear Noises + I'm In Pittsburgh...
Side B: Hasil Adkins In My Head + Scratch My Back

The Meteors - Mutant Rock 12"

The original Mutant Rock/Hills Have Eyes 7" came out in 1982. This 12" was released in 1986 on I.D. records. It was apparently a limited edition coming in green vinyl. The band's career wasn't meteoric at all... as a matter of fact Fenech and his crew just released a new album.

Side A: Wreckin' Crew + Scream Of The Mutants
Side B: The Hills Have Eyes + Mutant Rock

Needless to say... Fab Stuff!

Bad Karma Beckons - Mutate & Survive

I originally posted this album on Twilightzone! and since the blog went through some troubles most of the links are sadly gone. Thought I would re-post this gem of a record. Surf/Garage/Punk at its best... Barracudas meet 999!!!... this should cheer up even the most depressed Chelsea Fan!!!!
They did in fact mutate and survive as one of their singers (2 lads were sharing the vocals in the Beckons) is now fronting the brilliant Phobics: www.myspace.com/thephobics

The Commuters - Restaurant Buffet & Bar (1979)

Fab EP! If you like Shane McGowan's Nips, you should enjoy this true gem. Their version of the 60's punk classic "Let's Talk About Girls" is amazing! Pub Rock? Garage? Punk Rock? Who cares this is terrific!
