Action Pact - Yet Another Dole Queue Song
Not another Action Pact post! Yes i'm afraid. It's a good many years since i've had to cash an old 'Nightboat To Cairo', but things is looking a bit grim out there at the moment. Specially if you work in the old building game like what I does. When you have an economy that works in boom & bust and uses the construction industry to regulate it, it's expected. If the mortgage companies were prepared to lend people those ridiculous amounts of money, what the fuck did they expect? And what did happen to all that money the government gave the banks to bail them out? Has it fallen down the back of the sofa? Are they going to pay it back? It's taxpayers money after all. If I was lending you dear reader a couple of bob, i'd like some sort of indication of when I was getting it back. Enough!

Shit John, thats bad news. There's a housing shortage and we're letting the whole thing go tits up because... because some fuckwit banks/building societies/whoever was selling only saw the £ signs, got carried away and now they are the ones not lending. Course people think property is now gonna replace their pensions because they won't be worth a sod either.
What a fucking silly web we weave.
40+ redundancies at the end of the month where I currently earn a crust, I'm 'at risk'. Unclean! Unclean!
Yeah, it's all a bit shite currently. They said it would never happen again, and use the construction industry to regulate it like this. But, we know they are apt to lie. :)
There are so many unoccupied houses in this country now it's untrue. Squat the lot!
There's always taxi cabbing I spose.
