Polemic : Demo
You may or may not be aware of the CD series on Overground Records celebrating the 80's Anarcho scene, featuring the well known Crass, Flux, etc and the less well known like The Assassins (see Nuzz Prowlin' Wolf).
No 2 in the series 'Anti-State' features a track by the band Polemic 'Deceptive Ideals' They were formerly called Polemic Attack. Today's post is the complete five track demo from where that track was culled.
They hailed from Fareham and featured Terena drums/vocals, heather bass who also wrote anarcho/feminist zine lost faith and Gareth Guitar and vocals. Similar in style to Alternative, Dirt, Krondstadt Uprising, Early Chumbawamba. Great release this, still sounds angry today. Please refer to page 240 of your guide. The always wonderful 'The Day The Country Died' by Ian Glasper.
Tracks
Unmarked Grave, Frightening Protection, Nu-Killer, Deceptive Ideals, The End Song.

Nice one John, loved this demo, along with Youth in Asia's, fave raves of mine back in the day. Trying to do that Fits scan has done me in, so I'll leave that to a man of your calibre John, cos I'm fucked if I can do it.
Excellent, my tape's seen much better days and is no longer playable in any meaningful sense of the word! I saw this band loads when I was a nipper and became good friends with 'em (we used to go go sabbing in the New Forest together most days of the week).
I'm still in touch with the 'Polemic Attack' bassist Rob, who's now happily married with four kids and cutting down trees for a living. I'm sure he'll appreciate a copy of this too!
Funny when you think back how many bands were active in evey sense. Local heroes Icons Of Filth bass player Fish used to take lots of local youg un's sabbing back then.
Thanks for comments. Be nice to think that Rob gets a copy if he has'nt already.!
