Goldblade : Strictly Hardcore
Goldblade fronted by former Membranes lead singer, music journalist, authour, TV pundit and all round good guy John Robb. If Jello Biafra had come from Blackpool he would have been John Robb. But not as cool. One of the hardest working punk rock bands on the planet. The are a non stop touring machine, Robb has also managed to write (in my opinion) one of the best books on punk ever, 'Punk Rock, an oral history' where everyone that matters is talked to. Testify!

Good call john, posted The Membranes 'Gift Of Life' this week so nicely timed.
So you did! Happens this sometimes doesn't it. Sometimes you bounce off one another and other times these just seem to happen. I've head it called Synchronicity but that just makes me think of the Police. I just think we have marvellous taste in music. ha!
Always a pleasure to here from you highlander. I think i've listened to Powdered Lover constantly since i downloaded it. The LP i fear hasn't dated quite so well!

Pogel, yeah it's a nice post. Always liked the Cravats and Marc Riley was quality then as well. Langford was in The Mekons & later the 3 Johns though (Newport boy) not the Membranes. Argghhh too many Johns. Thanks for the comments and really enjoying your blog at present.
