Someone requested some Exit Stance the other day. Now curtousey of Annie's Animal click the link and download a near complete discography no less. Go see Annie & tell her how great she is.

I've got the demos somewhere as well. But if you've ripped 'em upload em. Yeah I know it links to fatwreck, I change it to free mp3 pages sporadicly. fatwreck, a t, jade tree, labels I like with free stuff.

Great band! I once read somewhere that there where 2 bands called Exit-Stance. The Mortarhate band and the more gothy one who released the 'Witan' demo and the 'Esthetics' 7". The vocals sound quite different. Anyone can confirm this?
A request: I'm looking for demos of Reality Control. I do have 'The Happy Face' but no titles. There's another one called 'While We Live In Cages'.
Just listened to that Witan demo that Annie posted and it's deffinitely a different band. Not too bad though. :) bit uk decayish.

Yes their were 2 Exit-Stance's,the bring back the witan demo has nothing to do with the Anarcho band of the same name,Exit-Stance(Anarcho)only ever released While Backs Are Turned 12'ep and Crimes Against Humanity 7'ep plus a bunch of tracks on the Mortarhate comps,everything they ever did is on the Discography(while backs are turned)and its alot better than that goth shite by the other lot!

I can confirm that there was 2 bands, I was in the 'Anarcho' band who did the 'mortarhate' stuff (while backs are turned, crimes against humanity etc), the other band released their EP while we were on tour with Conflict, after a little squabbling they relinquished the right to the name as we had proof of ownership (as such) on record in 1982, as we had had to change our name from 'Fuck Authority' by the powers that be, who had arrested & taken me to court over 'offensive writings in a public place' (painted on my jacket) but agreed to drop charges on the understanding we change our name, we then got the name from a poison girls poster.
As for the other band, I have no info, not sure if they carried on with another name or just folded.
To add to your discography we had a track on the 'Anti society' compilation last year, on Overground records, and you can read about us and others in a book called 'The day the country died' by Ian Glasper.
We did re-form, but I'm affraid 'The shit still stinks!'
And stink it should! Thanks a lot for this anonymous. It's always really nice when a band member confirms something like this, or just drops a comment. I for one would love to see a re-formed exit stance. It's not all just nostalgia you know. Went to see Conflict last week, & while I was'nt that impressed (thinking Abrasive Wheels the pick of the day) my daughter thought Conflict the best gig shes ever seen. With talk of A Flux/Crass/Subhumans gig sometime in November why not do it again? Mr Glasper is doing a great job of pointing people in the right direction is'nt he. Great band Exit-Stance,great shame that they got ripped off by Mortarhate/jungle records,I read somewhere that they never recieved a penny from record sales,as is the same for other bands who had dealings with them,as for Conflict wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire!(unless i pissed petrol of course)CHEERS
