Underground Rockers 2
In the late 80's the usually more Oiriented label Link records did a welcome effort to put the emphasis on UK's Punk Rock scene. It resulted in the Underground Rockers Vol 1+2 compilations.
Thought I would start with the second one....
Most of the bands featuring here were new to me at the time. Some of them became famous, some half-famous, the others remaining ignored. Fate is capricious. From melodic Hardcore to tuneful Punk Rock, you'll get your share of hooks for sure!!!
Side 1:
01. H.D.Q. "One Word"; 02. Senseless Things "Busload To Bingo"; 03. The Abs "Fear Is The Key"; 04. The Price "Shattered Land"; 05. Manic Street Preachers "Suicide Alley"; 06. Identity "Caroline"; 07. Suspect Device "Nothing To Me"
Side 2:
08. H.D.Q. "Love Alone"; 09. Senseless Things "Legal Lies"; 10. The Abs "Englebert Humperdink's Racing Pigeon"; 11. The Price "The Cover Up"; 12. Manic Street Preachers "Tennesse I Get Low"; 13. Identity "What's The Point"; 14. Suspect Device "Raw Deal"

Thanks Jeronyme. I like the look of this so I'm nicking it. Love the cover!
I'm sure you'll enjoy this comp Longy. First volume will be posted very soon.
Jeronyme.
Couldn't let a second post with 'Identity' on it go by unmarked. the Previous being The Pistols & Damned comp.
Jason's (lead singer & guitarist) nephew (him by blood, me by marriage) lives with me.
Saw them many a time. They later changed their name to 'Fun Bug' & were the first UK act to release a record on 'Lookout' (home of Green Day, Operation Ivy et al.)
Regular support band at gigs in the Birmingham area. Remember a rather fine one where they supported the Buzzcocks in Kidderminster Market Tavern, (bizzare venue in the cattle market. Seem to remember they shared a drummer with Joyce Mckinney for a while as well.
If I hadnt killed my scanner in a cider related incident... i'd post the single and LP. Maybe next month.
Always a pleasure J.
