Black Easter: Ready To Rot E.P.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Again another one of those bands I know very little about, apart from I bought it on 7 inch in 1982 and it's on the Illuminated label, later home to the likes of Sex Gang Children & the Poison Girls. Even Kill From The Heart just has the bands name and what would seem to be the bands only release, this EP listed.
The old Strange Reaction used to have this posted accompanied with a zine review of a gig the band did in a Basingstoke college written by one Liz Hurley. They would seem to come from the Home Counties somewhere. If you know anymore fill us in.
I've always loved this EP and "What The Fuck" has to be one of my favourite tracks ever. Pure Nihilism. Lovely.

I think they were from Farnbrough, saw them play with SUB-HUM-ANS and Organized Chaos a few times back in '82. Don't think they did anything else, great single and still gets played regularly in my house!

Yes they were from Farnborough. I knew them as my friend at school Ben Norris (Now quite famous comedian and cousin of Ricky Gervais)used to follow them about.
His sister used to go out with one of band members. I was in a photo shoot with a load of punks and skins back in about 82 for a cover of a Black Easter release. I would love to get my hands on that now!

Black Easter/Screwdriver gig 1983 at Feltham Football Club. Pure carnage, a total fucking riot. Now those were the days.
